Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution
(1) The PM is responsible for gathering IT requirements, defining project objectives, developing project plans and conducting risk assessment with proper mitigation plan.
(2) IT Application systems include ERP, MES(Manufacturing Execution System), WMS(Warehouse Management System), PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) , QMS(Quality Management System) and HCM(Human Capital Management) and OA(Office Automation) etc.
2. Technical Coordination and Resource Management
(1) Collaborate with IT teams, including developers, system administrators, network engineers, and business analysts, to assign tasks and optimize resources.
(2) Manage external vendors and third-party services, coordinating their contributions to project deliverables.
3. Risk Analysis and Mitigation
(1) Identify technical risks, such as system incompatibilities, security vulnerabilities, or compliance issues, and develop contingency plans.
(2) Ensure disaster recovery and data security measures are in place for relevant projects, aligning with company and regulatory standards.
4. Quality Control and Testing
(1) Oversee quality assurance activities, including code reviews, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
(2) Ensure that project deliverables meet IT standards for functionality, performance, and security before deployment.
5. Budgeting and Cost Management
(1) Develop and track project budgets specific to IT resources, including software licenses, hardware acquisitions, and external IT services.
(2) Regularly report budget utilization and identify any financial risks, ensuring adherence to cost constraints.
6. Stakeholder Communication
(1) Serve as the primary point of contact between IT, business stakeholders, and management, providing regular updates on project status, technical issues, and risks.
(2) Conduct regular project status meetings with cross-functional teams and prepare detailed reports for executive management.
7. Change Management and Documentation
(1) Manage change requests and version control, ensuring any modifications to project scope are carefully documented and communicated.
(2) Maintain detailed technical documentation for all project phases, including system requirements, architecture, deployment guides, and post-launch reviews
Qualification:
1. Core Project Management Skills
(1) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related majors. At least 10 years of IT work experience, with strong manufacturing knowledge and at least 5 years of project management experience.
(2) Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certification is a plus.
(3) Technical knowledge and understanding on Cloud, data analytics and Cybersecurity awareness
2. Strong Stakeholder Management and Communication Skills
(1) Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills: The project manager will need to convey complex technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, balancing priorities and expectations.
(2) Stakeholder Engagement: Proven success in stakeholder engagement and the ability to manage diverse teams. The ability to influence, build consensus, and manage expectations across departments is key.
(3) Vendor Management: Experience in working with third-party vendors, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and issue resolution, especially important if your projects involve external partnerships.
(4) Adaptability and Resilience: IT projects often face setbacks and shifting priorities, so resilience, flexibility, and a calm, solution-focused approach under pressure are key.
(5) Excellent Language Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
