ThyssenKrupp is investing 190 MUSD to build up a new fully owned plant - ThyssenKrupp Engine Components (China) in Nanjing Jiangning Science Park. The company will operate state of the art forging (锻造) and machining (机加工) facilities for crankshafts and connecting rods for Mid-Range and Heavy-Duty engines meeting the requirements of EURO IV and above. What began with the laying of the foundation stone in December 2010, the Start of Production is planned for October 2012. 
蒂森克虏伯在南京江宁科学园投资1.9亿美圆独资建立一家新工厂-蒂森克虏伯发动机零部件(中国)有限公司。该工厂将安装锻造和机加工生产线，主要生产适用于欧IV以上排放要求的中重型车用柴油发动机的曲轴和连杆。厂于2010年12月奠基.于2012年10月投产。

A lot has been achieved in the past two and a half years. On an area of 190,000 square meters an ultra-modern production plant has been built in which we can produce up to 345,000 crankshafts a year for trucks and construction equipment as well as for ships, emergency generators and other industrial applications. A particular highlight here at the plant is the 12,500 ton press.  The project has been fully executed in accordance with our top priority, Safety, and our Compliance principles. Around 650 people will be employed on site.
