**Job Title**: Sourcing  Specialist – Packaging and Novelty Items

**Location**: China (Reporting to US Office)

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist for identifying and partnering with new packaging manufacturers in China, focusing on improving the quality and pricing of our current products. This role will also involve sourcing novelty items such as glass products, handbags, quality totes, custom merchandise, and more. The Sourcing Specialist will report directly to the CEO and will serve as the key liaison between our China-based suppliers and our US office.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Source new packaging manufacturers in China to secure better quality and pricing compared to existing partner factories.
- Identify and establish relationships with manufacturers of novelty items, including but not limited to glassware, handbags, totes, and custom merchandise.
- Maintain and improve vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring vendors meet the company’s quality, price, and delivery standards.
- Audit and assess potential and existing factories to ensure they meet company quality and production standards.
- Communicate project status, developments, and any challenges directly to the US office, ensuring clear and timely updates.
- Travel to various factories in China to conduct site visits and audits.
- Manage a large team of sourcing professionals, overseeing daily operations, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure all vendors comply with ethical and legal standards of manufacturing.
  
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience, particularly with manufacturers in China.
- Proven experience managing a large team of sourcing or procurement professionals.
- Strong vendor relationship management skills with a proven track record of negotiating favorable contracts and improving supply chain efficiency.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin; intermediate English will not be considered, as clear communication with the US office is essential.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel regularly to audit and assess factories.

- Experience sourcing in industries such as packaging, novelty items, or consumer goods.
- Knowledge of ethical and environmental sourcing standards.
